Advent Poster

For this poster, I used a picture of the cross in the front foyer of our school. To make the cross stand out, I used the sponge to desaturate the background and saturate the cross. There were some distractions on the walls such as posters and signs that i had to use the stamp tool as well as the healing brush to get rid of. I chose the bible quote, "And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:9-12 because i felt like it defined why Christ was the most important part of Christmas. This quote shows that Jesus is the only truly important gift of Christmas.

  1. Taylor, nice work with the colour, or removal of colour. It looks very effective. I do find the blue text a bit hard to read. White might be clearer and moving it to the space the the right of the cross would also help.

You've placed the logo in a very suitable location. The lighting on the cross and aged appearance are very attractive.

The only weakness is the spelling errors in your blog post. See the rubric for specifics and make corrections please.
